SwipeGood allows Orang Utan Republik Foundation supporters to donate spare change to cause
8 June 2011 - Santa Monica, CA - Orang Utan Republik Foundation has just teamed up with SwipeGood, a company that helps nonprofit organizations make fundraising more efficient. By allowing consumers to round up the spare change from any purchase and donate it to a cause of their choice, SwipeGood allows Orang Utan Republik Foundation supporters to make an impact every time they use their credit card.
"We are very excited to partner with SwipeGood in order to provide our supporters with a new and innovative way to give to Orang Utan Republik Foundation," said Orang Utan Republik Foundation President Gary Shapiro.
The SwipeGood donation process is simple: users go to: https://swipegood.com, and choose "Orang Utan Republik Foundation" as their charity, and enter their credit or debit card information. At the end of each month, SwipeGood will round up each purchase to the nearest dollar, and donate the change to Orang Utan Republik Foundation. Users can also cap their monthly donations, so they are in complete control of the amount of money they donate each month.
"To make giving easier we wanted to eliminate the three main decision points people have: deciding when to give, how much to give, and to whom to give to," said SwipeGood co-founder Steli Efti. "People can donate to Orang Utan Republik Foundation every time they go grocery shopping, eat out in a restaurant, or spend money in any other way."
Orang Utan Republik Foundation users are encouraged to sign up and support the organization by going to https://swipegood.com/charity/orang-utan-republik-foundation/
